September Sunday Suppers Series Benefits the Wilmington Fur Ball and Highlights Shelton Herb Farm

  • PinPoint Restaurant 114 Market Street Wilmington, NC, 28401 United States (map)

For the September Sunday Supper Series, PinPoint Restaurant will benefit area charity Wilmington Fur Ball. The Wilmington Fur Ball is a non-profit foundation that supports animal rescue organizations in New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties. The group will be promoting their large annual fundraiser The Fur Ball gala that is set on November 5. The highlighted farm is Shelton Herb Farm, a farm located in an old family home-site in rural Brunswick County, NC. They specialize in growing a large variety of culinary herbs, seasonal vegetables, heirloom and native plates, and butterfly and bee plants.

Patrons can come dine on Sundays in September from 5:30 to 8:00pm for this special three-course Sunday Supper menu which is served in a family style offering. The dinner is $35 per person and $10 for kids 3-12. There is also a special limited group seating at 6:00pm, where guests can come and dine together with a small group for $25 per person specifically with a representative of the charity at a special long table in the restaurant that will be served as a true family style meal. 10 percent of the proceeds from the monthly dinners will benefit the Wilmington Fur Ball. To date, PinPoint Restaurant has raised over $6,000 for area charities during the Sunday Suppers.

Through the generosity of supporters and donors, the Wilmington Fur Ball committee has distributed $167,375 over 10 years to support groups such as the Pender Humane Society, Adopt an Angel (which operates satellite adoption fairs and "Fix a Friend" spay neuter clinic in Winnabow), Skywatch Bird Rescue, Monty's Home and others.
